Funeral services for Mrs. Henry Petersen, who died early Friday morning at Mercy hospital, Anamosa, where she had been a patient since fracturing her hip several weeks ago, were held at 2 p.m. Monday from the Zion American Lutheran church with the Rev. Herbert Graening in charge. Burial was in the Wyoming cemetery.

The deceased, nee Emma Katherine Friedricksen, was born July 1, 1865, at Hattstead, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. On April 7, 1890, she was married to Henry Petersen. In November of 1911, Mr. and Mrs. Petersen and their younger children came to Wyoming to join their older children who had preceded them to live in the States. She was a member of Zion American Lutheran church and of its Ladies Aid society, and also the Kaffee club.

Survivors are six children: John Petersen and Mrs. Peter (Sophie) Sievers, both of Wyoming, Fred Petersen of Oxford Junction, Hans Petersen of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Will (Lena) Reese of Olin, and Will Petersen of Rockford, Ill.; 21 grandchildren, and 34 great grandchildren. Mr. Petersen died in 1932 and a son Carl, aged five, in Germany.
