ONSLOW - Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Overholt, 76, who died Friday, Oct. 7, in Mercy hospital at Clinton, were held Monday in the Clinton Funeral home with burial in the Clay cemetery.

Alice Marie Green, daughter of Thomas and Mabel Dubois Green, was born Jan. 27, 1890. She attended the rural school of Jones county and Lenox college at Hopkinton. She was employed as a rural teacher until her marriage to George Overholt.

Surviving are two children, Harold of Clinton and Mrs. Dwight (Dorothy) Northrop of Wilmington, De., seven grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. W. A. Hicks, Onslow.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and two sisters.
