Services were held March 31 at Newcomb Presbyterian Church, Davenport, for Carol (Mrs. Gene) Groth, 38, who died March 28 at Lutheran Hospital, Moline.

Groth was born October 3, 1942 to Howard and Velma Petersen Cruise at the Anamosa Hospital. She graduated from Olin High School and American Institute of Commerce, Davenport. She was married to Gene Paul Groth July 21, 1962.

Mrs. Groth is survived by three children, Jeffrey, 15, James, 13, and Jenifer, 9; her husband, her parents, a sister Sally (Mrs. James) Abbott, Charles City and three nephews.

Casket bearers were Paul Herrig, James Fedrick, Ron Smeltzer, Paul Stayer, Bill Steckel, and Gordon Guffey. Burial was in the Olin Cemetery.
