MONTICELLO - Funeral services for Stuart H. Hoag, 50, were held Saturday afternoon, Nov. 5, at Goettsch Funeral home. The Rev. Melvin Miller officiated. Interment was in Oakwood cemetery.

Mr. Hoag died at his home early Thursday morning, Nov. 3, following several months illness.

He was born in Monticello Nov. 30, 1916, son of Ray C. and Jessie Hayes Hoag. He attended the Monticello schools and graduated in 1934. He later attended the Marion Military academy at Marion, Ala.

He had been affiliated with the operation of the Hoag Duster company for 25 years, the company being owned by the R. C. Hoag family. Mr. Hoag served the City of Monticello as councilman during 1958-1959 and was mayor of Monticello in 1960-1961.

He married Ann K. Doran June 11, 1949, at West Point, Nebr. They were the parents of three daughters, Janette, Cynthia and Beverly.

He is also survived by a brother, L. R. Hoag of Monticello, and a sister, Mrs. Thomas (Shirley) Eden, of Monticello.

His parents preceded him in death.

Pallbearers were Garrett Bartels, William Rink, Raymond Egger, Floyd Cass, Elwill Null and Rueben Leggett.
