OLIN - Services for Louis Joseph Kofron, 60, were held Monday at 2 p.m. at Hayden Funeral home in Olin with Rev. Lloyd Dutro officiating. Mr. Kofron died Friday following a long illness. Burial was in the Olin cemetery.

Louis Kofron was born at Petersburg, Va., Dec. 14, 1905, the son of Frank and Rose Walta Kofron. From Virginia the family moved to Illinois and later to Iowa, settling in the Iowa City area.

He married Norma Cozart Aug. 26, 1905, at Nashua. The couple had two sons. One son, Carl, died at birth.

Mr. Kofron farmed 23 years in the Olin area. In addition to his son Carl, he was preceded in death by both his parents.

He is survived by his wife Norma and his son Clarence, both at the home near Olin; four sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Brinkman, Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Helen Berry and Mrs. Anna Kabela, both of Iowa City and Mrs. Marie Pendergast of Davenport; and six brothers, George and Robert of Iowa City, Frank and John of West Branch, Henry of Atalissa and Charles of Tipton.

Pallbearers were Dean Henderson, Glenn Brown, Richard Nebergall, Ralph Burge, Bernard Hay and Dean Kirkpatrick.
