MONTICELLO - Funeral services for Mrs. T. R. (Elsie) Bohlken, who died Sunday afternoon, June 5, after an illness of several weeks, were held Wednesday afternoon, June 8, at Wayne Zion Lutheran church. The Rev. Luther Wachholz officiated at the services. Interment was in Oakwood cemetery.

Elsie Johanna Burrack was born Oct. 10, 1889, the daughter of Dietrich and Grethe Maria Hayen Burrack, and was educated in the Jones county schools. She was married to Wesley B. Eden Jan. 5, 1916. He died Dec. 28, 1918.

On Oct. 11, 1921, she married Tobias R. Bohlken and the couple farmed in the Scotch Grove community. They were the parents of two daughters. After Mr. Bohlken's death on March 3, 1956, she continued to live on the farm until the death of her step-son John Bohlken, when she and her daughter Katherine moved to 411 North Maple street, Monticello.

Mrs. Bohlken is survived by her two daughters, Katherine and Mrs. Donald (Irma Jean) Skelley, both of Monticello; two step-children, George Bohlken, Scotch Grove, and Mrs. Edward (Mary) Saathoff, Mt. Vernon; ten grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Henry (Grace) Freese, Amber, and Mrs. Mary Caspers, Monticello; two half-brothers, Henry and Frederick Rieniets, Monticello, and a half-sister, Miss Cecilia Reiniets, Monticello.

Pallbearers were Ben H. Paulsen, Gilbert Hearn, Tobe Tobiason, Elmer Hanken, Wallace Cruise and Theodore Freese.
