MONTICELLO - Walter E. Muller, 62, died at John McDonald hospital Sunday night, Feb. 27. Funeral services were held from Sacred Heart Catholic church Wednesday morning. Burial was made at Sacred Heart cemetery.

Mr. Muller was born Dec. 21, 1903 near Monticello, the son of J. Edward and Josephine Sauser Muller. He attended the rural schools of that area. He married Veda Podhaski in 1928 and they made their home on a farm in Castle Grove township before moving to Monticello several years ago.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandchild.

Survivors include his wife of Monticello, and seven children: Gerald J. of Monticello, Mrs. James (Virginia) Steiner of Roberts, Wis., William of Ankeny, Mrs. Arnold ((Janet) Holub of Monticello, Carl of Monticello and James and Patricia at home.

Also surviving are 19 grandchildren; two brothers, Arthur and Nick Muller, both of Monticello, and one sister, Miss Josephine Muller, also of Monticello.

Pallbearers included Matt Muller, Paul Muller, George Kurt, Emil Grief, Norbert Manternach, Sr. and Edward Gudenkauf.
