MONTICELLO - Funeral services for Mrs. William T. (Ida May) Schoon were held Monday morning from Goettsch funeral home. The Rev. Anton Kirkegaard officiated with burial at Oakwood cemetery. Mrs. Schoon died April 1 at her home in Monticello from a heart attack.

Born May 24, 1880, she was the daughter of Louis and Anna Aggalo Rieger of Monticello. She attended the rural schools of Jones county and was married to William T. Schoon Oct. 14, 1903 at Monticello. They farmed after their marriage until 1918 when they moved to Monticello. They returned to the farm in 1941. She moved to her present home in Monticello two years ago.

She was preceded in death by her husband on May 3, 1947, her parents, two brothers and six sisters.

Survivors include one son, Roy of Monticello and one sister, Mrs. Lillian Matthiessen of Denver, Colo.

Pallbearers included Jon Husman, Harold Eilers, Albert Heeren, Herbert Plueger, Marvin Jacobs and Marion Dirks.
