OLIN - Funeral services for a former Olin businessman, John A. Phillips, Jr., Cedar Rapids, were held Thursday afternoon at Turner Chapel, Cedar Rapids. The Rev. M. Lloyd Dutro, Olin, officiated. Burial was in Linwood cemetery.

Mr. Phillips died Jan. 24 in Cedar Rapids following a brief illness. He was a World War II veteran.

He was a member of the American Legion and Ancient Landmark lodge of Olin and of Apollo Commandry No. 26, K.T. El Kahir Shrine, Moose and Eagles lodges of Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include a daughter, Wendy Eileen; two sons, John A. and Darrel; a sister and a half-brother and sister.
