MONTICELLO - Mrs. Susan Chadwell, 74, died early Saturday morning Feb. 26, at her home three miles northwest of Monticello. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning from Sacred Heart church in Monticello. The Rev. Msgr. E. P. Lorenz officiated. Burial was made at Oakwood cemetery.

She was born May 21, 1891, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Robertson. She married Lyle Chadwell and they made their home in Cedar Rapids for a time. Mr. Chadwell died March 11, 1961 and she moved to her present home near Monticello.

Survivors include one son, Gene of Monticello; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Harpold of Freemont, Nebr.; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Pallbearers included Robert Hasler, Paul Meier, Lloyd Oswald, James Heeren, Colin Tschantz and Lyle Arduser.
