MONTICELLO - Funeral services for Edward F. Ireland, 45, of Mesa, Ariz., will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, at Goettsch funeral home with the Rev. C. C. Gutekunst officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood cemetery.

Mr. Ireland, formerly of Marion, died at the Phoenix hospital, Phoenix, Ariz., Monday, Dec. 26. He was born in Jones county Jan. 4, 1921, the son of A. Lee and Addie Beebe Ireland. He attended the Olin schools. For a number of years he had lived in Anamosa and Marion and for the past three years at Mesa, Ariz.

He is survived by his wife, Elsie; two daughters, Dianna and Mrs. Michael (Donna Lee) Thompson; one son, Lee Edward; his mother, Mrs. Addie Ireland of Monticello; two sisters, Mrs. John Schldetsky of Olin and Mrs. Marvin Jacobs of Monticello; three step-children, and a granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1958.
