OLIN - Funeral services were held Jan. 9 at 2 p.m. at Hayden Funeral home for Mrs. Edna Hora, 84. She died Jan.7 at John McDonald hospital, Monticello.

Mrs. Hora, daughter of Joseph O. and Angeline Crawford Coon, was born Sept. 25, 1880 at Oxford Jct. On March 17, 1897 she was married to Louie Ludwig Hora. He died in 1948.

The couple were the parents of nine children, seven of whom survive. They are Loren of Cedar Rapids, Joe of Anamosa, Howard and Leonard of Wyoming, Mrs. Mervin Switzer of Morley, Mrs. Freeman Shankland of Anamosa, Mrs. Richard Smouse of Morley.

Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Burial was in Mayflower cemetery, Oxford Jct. Grandsons serving as pallbearers were: Loren Hora Jr.; Howard L. Hora, Richard Switzer, Jack Switzer, Robert Hora and Darrel Hora.
