MONTICELLO - Mrs. George (Katie) Gadient, 67, died early Monday morning, Jan. 18, at John McDonald hospital after being a patient there a short time. Funeral services were held Wednesday from Immaculate Conception church at Sand Springs with burial at Sacred Heart cemetery, Monticello.

Mrs. Gadient was born March 17, 18976 near Worthington, the daughter of Henry and Frances Lux Heims of Worthington. She was reared in that area and was married to George Gadient, after which they farmed near Hopkinton.

Survivors include her husband George; two sons Vernon of Monticello and Irvin of Hopkinton; one daughter Mrs. Cyril (Marion) White of Worthington and 14 grandchildren.

Also surviving are two brothers, Frank Heims of Hopkinton and Clarence Heims of Worthington and two sisters, Mrs. Cyril (Anna) Recker of Ryan and Mrs. Eugene (Dorothy) Elenz of Manchester.

Pallbearers included Richard Heims, Donald Heims, Robert Heims, Allen Gadient, Laverne Lux, William Recker, William Heims and Lloyd Heims. Honorary pallbearers were Mrs. George Turnis, Mrs. Mike Kraus, Mrs. Russell Guthrie, Mrs. George Liebold, Mrs. John Faber and Mrs. Irvin Recker.
