MONTICELLO - Mrs. Norbert Manternach, 57, died Thursday evening, Oct. 22 at Mercy hospital in Cedar Rapids. Funeral services were held Monday morning from Sacred Heart church with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. E. P. Lorenz officiating. Burial was at Sacred Heart cemetery.

Katheryn Muller was born May 27, 1907 at Monticello, the daughter of George and Christina Weber Muller. She was married to Norbert Manternach Feb. 5, 1929 in the Sacred Heart church in Monticello. They farmed west of Monticello until retiring some years ago and moving to Monticello.

She is survived by her husband Norbert of the home and four sons, Norbert, Jr., David, Daniel and Jerome all of Monticello; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Christine) Bertling of Monticello and Sister Anthony Mary OSF of Waterloo; and 14 grandchildren.

Also surviving are two brothers, Matt and Paul Muller of Monticello, one half sister, Mrs. Mary Kurt of Monticello and two half brothers, John and Joe Miller of Anamosa.
