OXFORD JCT. - Funeral services for Albert B. Marter, 68, who died Saturday evening at Veteran's hospital, Iowa City, after a long illness, were held Wednesday afternoon at the Assembly of God church with Rev. Ramon Booth officiating. Burial was held at Bear Creek cemetery near Brandon.

Wapsie Post was in charge of military services. He was a World War I veteran.

He was born Oct. 13, 1896 at LaPorte city, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Marter. He was married to Esther Mae Roster at Brandon. She died in 1944. In 1945 he married Ruth George of Wyoming. He had operated a gas station here since 1948.

Survivors include his wife Ruth; two sons, Otto of Independence and Lyle of Vinton; two daughters, Mrs. Glen (Helen) Marter of Oxford Jct. and Mrs. William (Mary) Raines of Washburn; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
