OXFORD JUNCTION - Final rites were held Sunday, Sept. 21, at 2 p.m. in the Hayden funeral home for Joe Vozenelik, 64, who died Friday, Sept. 19, after a long illness. Rev. Kenneth Harden conducted the service and hymns were sung by Mrs. Fred Sacora and Mrs. Hans Ahrendsen, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. G. J. Bees. Casketbearers were Charles Trinka, Will Klahn, George Williams, Fred Wosoba, Ray Sobotka and Jerry Trinka. Burial was in Mayflower cemetery.

Joe Vozenelik was born in Oxford Junction on March 17, 1883, the son of Joe and Anna Vozenelik. He was once employed by the Milwaukee railroad company. He had been living with his niece, Mrs. Ernest VanSprecken.

He is survived by two brothers, John, Chicago, and Charles, San Joe, Calif.

Attending the funeral from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Myron Denniston, Davenport, Mrs. Mabel Denniston and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Denniston, Onslow, Mr. and Mrs. Preston Meyers, Anamosa, and Mr. and Mrs. Gus VonSprecken, Wyoming.
