OXFORD JUNCTION - Funeral service was held in the Hayden funeral home Thursday morning of last week for Mrs. Mary Beranek, 81, who died Tuesday of a heart attack at Scotch Grove where she had been for the last several weeks.

Rev. Kenneth Harden conducted the service and hymns were sung by Mrs. Otto Koranda and Mrs. Louis Ingwersen, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Palmer Vaughn.

Pallbearers were Joe Ruley, Charles Slouha, Fred Burian, John Burda and Antone Hudrlik, Burial was in Mayflower cemetery.

Mary Markvictova was born March 15, 1866, in Bohemia and came to the United States when she was 11 years old. She was married to John Beranek who died many years ago.

Surviving are two sons, Antone and Louie, Oxford Junction, and a daughter, Mrs. Cornelius Paulsen, Hale, 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
