OLIN - Funeral service for Don C. Easterly, 78, pioneer Olin resident who died Saturday, Sept. 27, was held Monday in the Campbell funeral home, with Rev. G. D. Gaide officiating.

Earl Phillips, accompanied by Mrs. L. J. Rohwedder, sang "The Lord's Prayer" and "The Old Rugged Cross".

Casket bearers were Dr. A. R. Stephenson, Bennett; C. H. Freeman, Henry Biere, M. D. Grafft, Frank Miles and Ernest Peck.

Don Chalmers Easterly, son of Martha Jane and Thomas Watts Easterly, was born near Olin, Sept. 7, 1869. He was married to Ola Stuart on March 10, 1892. He was a member of Hiawatha chapter, Order of the Eastern Star and Ancient Landmark, A.F. & A.M.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Noel Easterly, Cedar Rapids, and Roscoe Easterly, Scotch Grove; four daughters, Nellie at home; Lois Hart and Dorothy Rose, Olin, and Clarice Kearns, Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Allie Davidson, Clarinda, and Mrs. Frank Stewart, Grand Junction, and one brother, Roy Easterly, Olin.
