SCOTCH GROVE - Leo Lange, 73, long time mail carrier for the Scotch Grove area died Wednesday, May 20, following a lingering illness.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, May 23. Rev. John Siegle, pastor of Evangelical Reformed church, Monticello, conducted the service. Interment was in the Scotch Grove cemetery. Military services were held at the cemetery.

Pallbearers included Ervin Plueger, Earl Null, George Bohlken, Elmer Hanken, R. H. Oltmanns and Dale Ladehoff.

He was born Jan. 27, 1891, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Lange, Scotch Grove. He was educated in the local schools. He served overseas in World war I.

After completion of his military service he served many years as a mail carrier in the Scotch Grove area. Following his retirement he made his home in Scotch Grove.

Survivors include a brother, Fred A. Lange, Scotch Grove, and a sister, Mrs. Irene Lightfoot.
