Service for Mrs. Earl Miller, 71, Anamosa, who died early Sunday morning at a nursing home in Maquoketa, was held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Smykil Home for funerals.

Rev. Barney C. Crockett, pastor, officiated. Casket bearers were George Mills, Roy Russell, Glen Russell, Peter Robertson, Art Stanaway and L. A. Downing. Burial was in Riverside cemetery.

Last rites were conducted by Mount Moriah chapter, Order of the Easter Star, with Mrs. O. A. Rife in charge.

Myrtle Olmstead was born Aug. 25, 1875, in Wyoming. She later moved to Olin where she was married on May 12, 1894. She and her husband came to Anamosa in 1900. She was a member of the local Eastern Star chapter, the Past Matron's club, and the First Congregational church.

She is survived by her husband; one son, Chester, Cedar Rapids, and a granddaughter, Martha.
