OLIN - Funeral services for Miss Lydia June Renne, 78, who died Feb. 18, where held Friday afternoon in the Campbell funeral home, Olin. The Rev. W. T. Boston officiated and burial was in the Olin cemetery.

Mrs. Nellie Stivers sang "Beyond the Sunset," accompanied by Mrs. Louis Rohwedder, organist. Pallbearers were J. L. Starry, Del Stingley, H. E. Carter, Joe Pieper, C. H. Freeman and Louis Rohwedder.

Lydia June Renne was born Aug. 29, 1868, in Blaine, Ill., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. F. Renne. The family moved to Nebraska when Miss Renne was a child, first to Syracuse, Nebr., and later to Creighton, Nebr., where she was graduated from high school.

Miss Renne taught school most of her life. She attended summer school courses in Chicago and Dixon, Ill., and also Drake university, Des Moines, and the State University of Iowa, Iowa City.

For 14 years Miss Renne taught in the Olin school. She then went to Boone where she taught 15 years. Her last position was in the Chapin consolidated school.

Miss Renne was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Boone, and the White Shrine, Des Moines. She was a former member of the Olin United Brethren church and at the time of her death was affiliated with the Presbyterian church, Boone. She died in the Eastern Star Home in Boone, where she had been living.

She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Blanche Randinof, Oberlin, Ohio; Mrs. Irene Biggers, Bickford, Ill., and Mrs. Zelma DeVoe, Fayette. One sister, Mrs. Carrie Rummel, preceded her in death.
