WYOMING - Funeral service for Lorenz Broderson, 48, who died late Friday, Feb. 15, at Mercy hospital, Anamosa, after a relapse following an appendectomy, was held Monday, Feb. 18, from the Lutheran church in Wyoming with Rev. H. Graening in charge.
Deceased was born Dec. 13, 1897 at Russum, Germany, coming to the States when he was 17 years old. He was married to Leona Close, Wyoming, Jan. 11, 1923. To this union were born a son and a daughter. She died in 1939, and Sept. 12, 1942, he was married to Margaret Harms, Amber.
He followed the occupation of farming until two years ago, he moved to Wyoming, and has served since as street commissioner. He was a member of the Lutheran church.
Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, T/5 Lyle Broderson, now enroute home from Europe, and Lorenz, jr., at home; a daughter, Carmalee, Anamosa; three step-children, Annie, Alvin and Dennis Harms, all of Wyoming; a brother, Matthias Broderson, and a sister, Mrs. Fred Petersen, both of Wyoming, and two brothers, Peter and Carl, and a sister, Mrs. Hans Petersen, still in Germany.
