Funeral service for Chauncy Mowrey, 59, who died Tuesday will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the Smykil Home for Funerals. Rev. Edgar E. Walker, jr., of the Methodist church will conduct the service and burial will be in Riverside cemetery.

Mr. Mowrey, son of John and Addie Mowrey, was born Oct 17, 1888, at Anamosa and always lived in this vicinity. He was married to Addie Webster at Monticello on Feb. 22, 1912. He did general trucking and was a cream hauler out of Anamosa until two years ago.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Klinetop and Mrs. Alvin Kline, Anamosa; two sons, Victor, Monticello, and William, Dallas, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Flossie Brunner, Davenport; eight grandchildren, and a step father, two half-sisters and one half-brother, all Davenport.

His wife died in November, 1943.
