Funeral service for William L. Brady, 74, will be held at the Campbell funeral home in Olin at 2 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in the Olin cemetery.

Born Jan. 17, 1872, he had been a resident of Jones and Linn counties for many years.

Surviving are his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Archie Wood, Olin; Mrs. Harvey Jerome, Central City; Mrs. Harold Weaver, Tipton, and Bernice Brady, Anamosa, and a son, Robert L. Brady, Anamosa.

OLIN - William Brady, 76, died Monday morning at the University hospital in Iowa City. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Campbell funeral home, Rev. W. T. Boston of the United Brethren church officiating.

OLIN - Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Campbell funeral home for William L. Brady, 74, father of eight children and long time resident of Jones county, who succumbed Monday, Dec. 9, in an Iowa City hospital following a short illness. The Rev. W. T. Boston officiated and interment was in the Olin cemetery.

Mrs. Emma Clay and Mrs. Galda Hollingsworth sang, "Does Jesus Care" and "Sometime We'll Understand" accompanied by Mrs. Ruth Miles. Pallbearers, nephews of the deceased, were: W. E. Emerson, L. H. Emerson, M. E. Brady, Alfred Emerson, Howard Brady, and Eugene Emerson.

Mr. Brady was born in Hancock county, Ia., on Jan. 16, 1872, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Hiram Brady. As a small boy, he came with his parents to Jackson county, later locating on a farm in Jones county. He was married to Nellie Emerson on Dec. 24, 1894 and to this union were born eight children, Robert L. and Bernice Brady of Anamosa, Mrs. Archie Wood of Olin, Mrs. Harvey Jerome of Central City and Mrs. Harold Weaver of Tipton. Three children, Grace, Esther and Francis, preceded him in death. Other survivors include his widow, a sister, a brother, 14 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Mr. Brady had been enjoying his usual good health until several weeks ago. When his condition became worse, he was removed to the hospital where he succumbed.
