Funeral service for Mrs. William J. Blanch, 58, who died at her home in Anamosa Sunday, Oct. 27, after a long illness was held Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist church in Mechanicsville. Rev. Charles S. Arnold, pastor was in charge of the service, assisted by Rev. Edgar E. Walker, jr., Anamosa.

Smykil Home for Funerals was in charge of arrangements. Interment was made in Rose Hill cemetery at Mechanicsville.

Mary Ellen Blanch, daughter of Alexander and Maria Robertson, was born near Mechanicsville Nov. 10, 1888. She was educated in the Mechanicsville schools and graduated from high school there with the class of 1908.

On Dec. 18, 1912, she was married to William John Blanch at Marion, Iowa.

Her parents and two infant children preceded her in death.

Surviving are her husband, a daughter, Mrs. John J. (Lucile) Smith, Anamosa; a sister, Mrs. Emma Miller, Mechanicsville; a nephew, Merle Miller, Cedar Rapids, two step-brothers and two step-sisters.

Mrs. Blanch has been a member of the Methodist church at Mechanicsville since December, 1904.
