Pvt. Alphonse A. Stoll, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Stoll of Monticello, died in Korea on October 2, as a result of gun shot wounds, the Secretary of War notified his parents on Tuesday. No details of the death are immediately available.

Alphonse, 19, graduated from Sacred Heart high school in 1945, and was inducted into the army in November of the same year. He went overseas this summer.
