March 13, 1947 - The Anamosa Journal

OLIN - Mrs. B. F. Wilson, 78, died at her home Sunday evening.

Funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Evangelical United Brethren church with Rev. W. T. Boston in charge.

Burial will be in Olin cemetery.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Joe Clay, Olin and Mrs. Ruby Oakes, Butler, Mo., and a son, Lee Wilson, Lawn, Tex.

March 20, 1947 - The Anamosa Journal

OLIN - Funeral service for Mrs. B. F. Wilson, 87, who died March 9, were held Wednesday of last week in the Evangelical United Brethren church with Rev. W. T. Boston in charge. Burial was in Olin cemetery.

Mrs. Nellie Stivers, accompanied by Mrs. Elna Rohwedder, organist, sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Shadows".

Casket bearers were Byron Frazier, Guy Thompson, O. N. Hollingsworth, William White, Sam Tarbox and Henry Houstman.

Eva Garrison, daughter of A. V. and Virginia Garrison, was born Dec. 8, 1868, at Cameron, Ill. She married B. F. Wilson at Monmouth, Ill., Jan. 29, 1890. She joined the Christian church when she was 13 years old. She belonged to the Missionary society of the United Brethren church, Olin.

Survivors are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Emma Lay, Olin, and Mrs. Ruby Oakes, Butler, Mo.; two sons, Lee E., Lawn, Texas, and Ernest L. Fort Worth, Texas; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother J. P. Garrison, Milwaukee, Wis., and two sisters, Mrs. Maggie Jackson, Chicago Heights, Ill., and Mrs. Lyda Beck, Albuquerque, N. Mex.
