Funeral service for Fred D. Worden, 74, Cedar Rapids, was held Wednesday at a Cedar Rapids chapel.

Born in Jones county Aug. 16, 1872, Mr. Worden died Sunday evening at his Cedar Rapids home following a brief illness.

He was a member of Modern Woodmen of America, Anamosa, and of the Methodist church at Fairview. He had been employed at Wilson and Co. more than 20 years.

Surviving are his wife, Ethel; six children, Lee Worden, Bell, Calif., Mrs. W. B. Griffiths, Marion; Lester Worden, Mrs. Ralph Fillenworth, Lois Worden and Mrs. Loretta Harman, all of Cedar Rapids, and two brothers, Nelson and Dan, Anamosa.
