OLIN - Mrs. Harlan D. Hotz, 40, died Monday at Cedar Rapids following a long illness. Funeral service was held at a Cedar Rapids chapel Wednesday with burial at Morley.

Born in Maquoketa Sept. 6, 1905, the former Gladys Badkin, she was married Sept. 21, 1921. Mr. and Mrs. Hotz lived in Cedar Rapids four years.

Surviving are her husband, two daughters, Dorothy Mae Bixler, Olin, and Marilyn, Cedar Rapids; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Badkin, Maquoketa; two sisters, Bennie Fenton, Maquoketa, and Jessie Winchip, Olin; three brothers, William, Clinton; Harry, Davenport, and Harry, Baldwin, and a half-brother, Earl Conway, Rock Island.
