Otis F. McMurrin, 57, former Anamosa resident, died Thursday at his home in Des Moines, where he was owner and manager of a transfer company for the past 20 years. Funeral service was held in Des Moines Saturday afternoon.

Son of the late John McMurrin, he was born Jan. 18, 1888, on a farm near Anamosa, and spent his early life in Jones county.

Surviving are his wife, four brothers, V. W. McMurrin, St. Paul; Eugene E. McMurrin, Port Jefferson Station, Long Island, N.Y.; H. D. McMurrin, Anamosa, and First Lieut. J. C. McMurrin, Dallas, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Arthur Wells, Houston, Texas, Mrs. W. E. Hay and Mrs. Bess E. Sherman, Anamosa.
