John M. Hogan died Wednesday, Aug. 22, at Mercy hospital, Anamosa, following a short illness. Solemn Requiem High Mass was sung at St. Patrick's church, Anamosa, with Rev. J. A. McMahon, Celebrant; Rev. J. J. Hennessy, Deacon, and Rev. Ivan Boyd, Sub-Deacon. Interment was made at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery at Castle Grove.

Pallbearers were Thomas Kennedy Ryan, James T. Hogan, Monticello, John Hayes, John McCrea, James Conley, and J. L. Choidini, all of Anamosa.

Surviving Mr. Hogan are three brothers, Attorney Edward S., Cascade; Charles K. and Thomas W., Anamosa; three sisters, Margaret D. Smith, Mae C. Hogan and Betty G., Anamosa; one nephew, James T. Hogan, Monticello, and one niece, Irene Lamey Hogan, student nurse at Loras college, Dubuque.

McNamara Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
