MORLEY--Funeral service for Stacy Edward Miller, 85, lifetime resident of Jones county, was held Wednesday afternoon at the United Brethren church in Morley.

Rev. Homer E. Dalrymple officiated, assisted by the pastor, Rev. H. W. Hulse. Loder Funeral home was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Pard Miller and Mrs. Raleigh Shoop sang at the service, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Delbert Smith.

Pallbearers were Charles Seeger, Garrett Steenhoek, Fred Austin, M. Graff, Harvey Willison and Paul Meineke. Burial was in the Green Center cemetery.

Mr. Miller died at his home near Morley Sunday evening. He was born near Morley Jan. 28, 1860. Jan. 6, 1881, he was united in marriage to Emma F. Byerly, also of Jones county. One daughter, LaVerna, now Mrs. Chauncey Kline, was born to the union.

He was the fifth child of a family of 10 children born to Levi K. and Mary Ann Miller, all of whom have preceded him in death except two brothers, John H. and H. D. Miller, both living near Morley.

His entire life, with the exception of a few years after the death of his wife in 1918 which he spent with his daughter in Cedar Rapids, was spent in Jones county. He was owner of the farm and homestead where he was born at the time of his death.
