Funeral service for Theodore H. DeNio, 72, who died at his home in Anamosa Monday morning, was held at St. Patrick's church at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Burial was in Holy Cross cemetery. Pallbearers were John Hanlon, Albert Kula, Clayton Hartman, Carrol Blood and Irvin Hovet. McNamara Funeral home was in charge of arrangements. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the McNamara home.

He was born July 14, 1872, at Cherokee, N.Y. and would have been married 53 years in June. Surviving are his wife, the former Catherine Wolf; a son, Joe, Anamosa; three daughters, Mrs. Rosella Whitfield, Dubuque; Mrs. Edward Hughes and Mrs. Howard Taber, Cedar Rapids; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
