Funeral service for Fred Raymond, 75, Fairview, who died last Wednesday at his home, was held Saturday afternoon at the Fairview church. Rev. Homer E. Dalrymple of the Congregational church officiated. Loder Funeral home was in charge of arrangements. Burial was at the Wilcox cemetery.

Fred Raymond, son of J. D. and Seny Raymond was born in Jones county, Ia., Sept. 10, 1869, and died Jan. 3, 1945, at his home in Fairview after a lingering illness.

Sept. 4, 1895, he married Carrie Leaper who preceded him in death in November, 1941. To this union six children were born, all of whom survive. They are Mrs. Florence Warden, Fairview; Ivan and Maurice, Anamosa; Mrs. Mildred Cummings, Fairview; Mrs. C. L. Thomas, Anamosa; and Mrs. Clifford Daily, Stone City.

Other survivors are 25 grandchildren, six of whom are in the armed services; 12 great-grandchildren and other relatives.
