Mrs. Nellie May Mallicoat, 71, Waterloo, died at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 19, of a cerebral hemorrhage in the home of a sister, Mrs. Dana Leonard. She had been ill for nine weeks following a stroke of paralysis.

Born Dec. 19, 1873, at Anamosa, Nellie May Blayney was the daughter of Frank and Mary Blayney. Dec. 6, 1894, she married R. J. Mallicoat at Anamosa, and lived for 10 years at Wyoming. In 1904 they moved to Waterloo where her home has been ever since. She was a member of St. Paul's Methodist church there.

Surviving are her husband at Washington, D.C., one son, Basil B., Los Angeles, Calif.; two brothers, Clifford Blayney, Martelle; Price Blayney, Anamosa; four sisters, Mrs. Nora Leonard and Mrs. Vera Emerson, both of Waterloo; Mrs. Myrtle Duncan, Olin; and Mrs. Grace Gilmore, Anamosa; and one grandson at Los Angeles.

Funeral service was held Saturday at a Waterloo Funeral home and burial was in the Fairview cemetery, Waterloo.
