George Kula, 63, Anamosa, died Saturday, May 23, at Mercy hospital, Anamosa, following a brief illness.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 25, at 9:30 a.m., at St. Patrick's Catholic church, Anamosa. Rev. J. A. McMahon conducted the service. Burial was in Holy Cross cemetery.

McNamara Funeral home, Anamosa, was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers included Bernard Kula, Roy Kula, Marvin Kula, Donald Butterfield, Clyde Price and Marion Norton.

He was born Sept. 7, 1900, son of Joseph T. Kula and Frances Lawrence Kula, Prairieburg. He had lived his married life in the Anamosa and Jones county areas. He had worked as a laborer.

Survivors include four sons, Joseph, Frank, Ray and Robert, all of Anamosa; four daughters, Blanche, Mrs. Paul Whear; Frances, Mrs. Joseph Holub; Anna, Mrs. Kenneth Butterfield; and Elizabeth, Mrs. Earl Martins, Anamosa.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Louis, Albert and Thomas Kula.
