VIOLA--Frank E. Knight, 91, Viola, died Wednesday, Dec. 4, at the Springville Rest home, following a lingering illness.

Funeral service will be held Friday, Dec. 6, at 2:30 p.m., at the Goettsch Funeral home, Anamosa. Rev. J. E. Webb will conduct the service. Burial will be in Wilcox cemetery.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Keeran Knight, Keith Knight, Jon Knight, Ivan Studer, Edwin Knight and Robert Knight.

Mrs. Katherine Schwab will be organist. Steven Daily will be soloist.

He was born Sept. 23, 1872, son of William L. Knight and Caroline Blayney Knight, near Olin. He was married to Linnie Gilmore on Feb. 14, 1895. Couple made their home on farms in the Olin and Viola areas before moving to Viola in 1946.

Survivors include his wife, Linnie; two daughters, Mrs. Frances Studer, Anamosa, and Mrs. Genevieve Taylor, Springville; three sons, Harold, Walter; Victor, Anamosa, and Ward, Viola.

Other survivors include one sister, Mrs. Ella Saiter, New Castle, Pa.; two brother, Fred, Englewood, Calif., and Lester, Viola; 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
