Funeral services for Ira R. Pieart, are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, at St. Paul Lutheran church, Anamosa. Services will be held at the Westover Funeral home, Des Moines, at 3:30 p.m. Burial will be at the Chapel Hill cemetery, Des Moines. Rev. L. C. Beener will be officiate at the services.

Mr. Pieart died unexpectedly of a heart attack at his residence at 206 Hamilton St. Saturday morning, Sept. 8.

Ira Richard Pieart was born March 8, 1905 at Mitchelville, the son of George and Rosa Belle Robison Pieart. He married Emma Pro of Esterville Oct. 28, 1929, at Des Moines.

Couple lived at Des Moines where he was employed at the Des Moines Steel Co. and as a state inspector of new construction. They moved to Anamosa six years ago where he was an operating engineer at the power plant at the Men's Reformatory. Mr. Pieart was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church, Anamosa.

Mr. Pieart is survived by his wife; two sons, Richard, Cedar Rapids, and A1/c Steven, stationed with the Air Force; and one daughter, Sandra, at home.

He is also survived by one brother, Elmer Pieart, Phoenix, Ariz.; and three sisters, Mrs. Roy (Alma) La Brash, Phoenix, Ariz,; Mrs. Ray (Irene) Hardin, Des Moines; and Mrs. Eward (Kate) Buchanan, Lynwood, Calif. He was preceeded in death by his parents and four brothers.
