Earl R. Byerly, 85, Anamosa, died Wednesday evening, Sept. 25, at the Crestview Rest home, Marion, following a lingering illness.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 28, at 2 p.m. at the Goettsch Funeral home. Interment will be in Riverside cemetery, Anamosa.

He was born Jan. 28, 1873, son of John W. and Susan Johnson Byerly, Jackson township. He was engaged in farming in the Antioch vicinity before moving to Anamosa in 1950.

Survivors include his wife, Lottie, and one sister, Miss Eva Byerly, Anamosa.
