OXFORD JUNCTION--Funeral service was held Saturday morning for Pfc. Fred W. Fifield, USMR, who died Saturday, April 9, at Moffitt Field, Calif., of a heart attack. Service was held from the Sacred Heart church, of which he was a member, the Reverend Father Joseph Gregor in charge. Requiem mass was sung by the choir.

Floral arrangements were in charge of Carmel Heffron, Ruby Boddicker, Mrs. Arthur Butler and Eleanor Mulvihill. Those serving as pallbearers were Charles Allen, Otto Koranda, Lumir Sabotka, Charles Fritz, Emil Hunwardsen and Antone Kula. Interment was in Mayflower cemetery where military rites were conducted by Wapsie Post of the American Legion.
