Funeral service for Owen H. Courtney, 72, who died Tuesday at his home near Anamosa, will be held this Thursday at Forest chapel at 2 p.m. Rev. C. L. Windsor is the officiating minister. Burial will be at the Forest cemetery.

He was born near Linn Grove March 6, 1871. He married Miss Ada McCleary and spent his entire life in this community, following the occupation of interior decorator.

Surviving are his wife, a son, PFC Cecil, stationed in Iran and two daughters, Mrs. Hetty Moore, Anamosa, and Mrs. Eunice Newhard, Cedar Rapids and one granddaughter, Marian Newhard, Cedar Rapids.
