March 30, 1944 - The Anamosa Journal

Mrs. Ida C. Pearson, 84, died at her home in Anamosa Wednesday morning. Funeral service has been set for this Friday afternoon at two o'clock at the Smykil home for funerals. Rev. H. E. Dalrymple will conduct the service. Interment will be at Springville.

Mrs. Pearson was born Aug. 8, 1859, north of Springville. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. John Carbee. She was married May 28, 1884 to Walter Pearson of Marion. One son, Walter Leigh, who survives, was born to them.

Other survivors are two grandchildren, Pvt. Loyal, in England, sister, Mrs. Hattie Pearson, Springville and two brothers, John Carbee, Mount Vernon and Henry Carbee, Springville.

Mrs. Pearson was a member of the Congregational church, the Order of Eastern Star and the Fortnightly club. Her sons, W. Leigh Pearson, is clerk of courts for Jones county.
