Mrs. Margaret M. Ruhl, 81, Anamosa, died Friday, May 15, at the home of a daughter in Lisbon, following a lingering illness.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 18, at 2 p.m., at the Goettsch Funeral home, Anamosa. Rev. Lloyd Dutro, Olin, conducted the service. Burial was in Forest cemetery.
Pallbearers included Irvin Hotz, Mervin Hotz, Wayne Joslin, William Carlson, Robert Bainbridge and Garrett Gerdes.
She was born Sept. 8, 1882, daughter of William B. Benadom and Anna Jamison Benadom, Jackson township, Jones county. She was married to Seth Ruhl, Dec. 24, 1903, at the home of her parents. She had lived her married life on a farm in Forest community.
She had been active in farm organization, 4-H and church work. She was a member of the Forest E.U.B. church.
Survivors include two daughters, Thelma, Mrs. Forest Hotz, and Wilma, Mrs. Walter Carstens, both of Lisbon; and one son, Don S. Ruhl, Anamosa.
Other survivors include two brothers, Albert Benadom, Anamosa; and Sam E. Benadom, Cudahy, Calif.; seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
