Mrs. Jennie Rohn, 81, died suddenly at her home in Monticello last Saturday morning of an attack of heart disease. Funeral service was held Tuesday in Monticello.

She was born Jennie Babcock, July 30, 1862, in Monticello, and attended the public schools there. She graduated from the Epworth seminary. She served for some time as assistant to her father, the late Perry O. Babcock, when he was postmaster at Monticello.

She was married May 15, 1888, to William F. Rohn, who preceded her in death in September, 1935.

Surviving are a son, Elden B. Rohn, Cedar Rapids; daughter, Mrs. Gwen Cornwell, Brasstown, N.C., and sister, Mrs. F. W. Buxton, Wheatland.

Her parents; one son, Bertram, who died in infancy; two infant brothers, and one sister, Mrs. Floyd VanKirk, also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Rohn was a lifelong resident of Monticello, except for a few years when her father was county sheriff and they lived in Anamosa. She was a member of the Congregational church and was affiliated with various organizations of that church during her active years.
