OXFORD JUNCTION--Funeral service was held Tuesday afternoon from the Hayden funeral home for Joseph Bruckner, 56, who died Sunday morning in the Mercy hospital, Anamosa. He had been taken there the day before following a long illness.

Joseph Bruckner was born in Oxford Junction, son of Antone and Mary Bruckner. He was an employee of the Chicago, Milwaukee and Saint Paul railroad for a number of years.

Survivors are a brother, Frank, a daughter, Mrs. Dwight Eades, and a grandson, all of Oxford Junction. One sister preceded him in death.

Funeral service was conducted by Rev. Wilbur Altheide. Those serving as pallbearers were Mike Souhrada, Antone Herda, Frank Kostichek, Frank Henek, Mike Vacek and Charles Slouha. Burial was in Mayflower cemetery, near Oxford Junction.
