Service for Mrs. M. A. Boxwell, who died at Mercy hospital in Anamosa on Sunday, Jan. 9, was held Tuesday afternoon at the Linn Grove church.
Mrs. Boxwell was born in Greenfield township, Jan. 28, 1871, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David English.
On April 25, 1894, she married Mose Boxwell, and the couple have lived all of their married life on a farm near Martelle. Couple would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 25. Mrs. Boxwell was a member of the Linn Grove church and aid society.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Joseph, and a sister, Sarah. Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. L. D. Murfield, Anamosa; and one brother, John English, Marion; and two grandchildren, Margaret and Norman Murfield, Anamosa.

Funeral service for Mrs. Margaret Boxwell, 73, who died January 9 at Mercy hospital, Anamosa, was held at the Linn Grove church, the following Tuesday. Dr. Lloyd Morris officiated and a quartet of friends from Martelle furnished music. Pallbearers were John Strother, Sam Johnson, Will Clark, Glenn Richardson, Merle Goudy and Otto Fisher.
She was born in Greenfield township, Jan. 28, 1871, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David English. She married Moses Boxwell April 25, 1894. Couple would have celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary next April. They have lived on the farm near Martelle since their marriage.
Mrs. Boxwell was a member of the Linn Grove church and aid society.
Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. L. D. Murfield, Anamosa; and one brother, John English, Marion; two grandchildren, Margaret and Norman Murfield, Anamosa. Her parents, one brother, Joseph, and one sister, Sarah, preceded her in death.
