Mrs. Henry G. Weers, 64, Anamosa, died Monday, March 2, at Mercy hospital, Anamosa, following a lingering illness.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 4, at 1:30 p.m. at Wayne Zion Lutheran church. Rev. Luther Wachholz conducted the service. Burial was in Wayne cemetery. Goettsch Funeral home, Anamosa, was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers included Ronald Smith, Gary Winders, Merle Atwood, Herman Ortgies, William Fay and J. L. Donahoe.

She was born Tena Margaret Dirks, June 29,1899, daughter of D. J. Dirks and Mary Eden Dirks, Monticello. She was married to Henry G. Weers on April 20,1920, at Monticello. She lived her married life in Wayne township before moving to Anamosa in 1951.

Survivors include a son, Alvin Weers, Center Junction; a daughter, Meyeda, Mrs. Merle Jansen, Anamosa; one sister, Mrs. Lawrence Schafer, Monticello, and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and her husband in 1958.
