MARTELLE--John Henry Weideman, 26, was killed while at work on a construction job near Centerville, Monday, May 20. He was a former resident of the Martelle area.

He was born May 28, 1936, at Council Bluffs. On April 13, 1943, he arrived to make his home at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Weideman, Martelle. He graduated from the Martelle high school with the class of 1955.

He was married Aug. 8, 1959, to Miss Burdetta Davis, Udel, Iowa, at Des Moines.

Survivors include his wife and two children, Cynthia, 3 years old and William, 1 year old; his foster parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Weideman, Martelle; a foster brother, Douglas Weideman, Anamosa; a grandmother and one sister at Council Bluffs, and two sisters in the East.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
