Funeral service for Charles Wells, who died Monday at the University hospital, Iowa City, following an illness of six weeks, has been set Friday, at 2 p.m. at the Beam and Miller chapel. Rev. J. K. Delahooke will officiate. Burial will be in Madison cemetery.
Survivors are his wife, three sons, Leslie E. and Leonard, Anamosa and Clarence, U. S. Army, four brothers, Frank, Morley; Leslie, Marion; William, Marion; and Elmer Prairieburg; one sister, Mrs. Sadie Shaffer, Anamosa and four grandchildren.

Funeral service for Charles Levi Wells, was held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Beam and Miller chapel. Rev. J. K. Delahooke conducted the service. Burial was at Madison Center.
Charles Levi Wells, son of Larue and Susan Matilda Wells, was born at Wyoming, Iowa, on May 27, 1879, and died March 6, 1944, at the age of 64 years. He had been in ill health for the last year and was taken to the University of Iowa hospital, Iowa City where he had been confined for the last month.
He is survived by two sons, Leslie, Anamosa; and Clarence, who is in the armed forces stationed at Battle Creek, Mich.; five brothers, Leslie, Marion; Elmer, Prairieburg; William, Marion; Frank, Morley, and Edward, Antioch, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Sadie Shaffer, Anamosa, and four grandchildren.
