OXFORD JUNCTION--Funeral service was held Monday afternoon from the Hayden funeral home for Manuel Dusanek, 85, who died Saturday afternoon at Independence, where he was taken a week ago. He had been in ill health for some time.

Rev. Wilbur Altheide conducted the service. Those serving as pallbearers were: Charles Slouha, Mike Vacek, Vince Sabotka, Frank Kostacheck, Vince Lasack and Frank Bruckner. Burial was in Mayflower cemetery.

He was born in Jones county in 1859, son of Frank and Katherine Dusanek, and had lived most of his life in this community. He was employed for several years as an engineer at the Amana Colonies, but for the last 12 years had made his home here with his niece, Mrs. Frank Henek. He never married.

He is survived by one brother, George, Wyoming, three sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.
